About Seniors on the Move

MARCIA ZEIGLER is the owner of Seniors on the Move, Inc. Marcia, a life long resident of Pottstown, was the director of the Meals on Wheels Program, serving western Montgomery County for 19 years.

In her position, Marcia often found that the clients that she served rarely planned for the future. Whether it was a decline in health, loss of a life partner, or an inability to keep up a house; often an older person suddenly was faced with a major decision to downsize his/her life and had no knowledge of how to begin.

For most, it was in their best interest to move to a small apartment or to consider a retirement or assisted living community. For others it was possible to remain in their home if the clutter was removed and safety measures were put in to place.

Thus in 2005, Marcia began Seniors on the Move. She finds the work very rewarding as a senior move manager, helping older adults and their families deal with both the physical and emotional aspects of downsizing.

Marcia serves the tri-county areas of Chester, Montgomery and Berks Counties.
